The True Cost of Owning an xTool in Ireland
The machine is only the first invoice. Here is the honest first-year cost picture for Irish xTool owners — and where buying through a Pro Hub changes the maths.

The question we hear most from Irish buyers is not “which machine” but “what will this actually cost me?” Fair question. The headline price on a website is the start of the spend, not the end. Here is the full picture as we see it running xTool machines in daily production at our Dunshaughlin studio.
1. The machine — and why the sticker price is negotiable
xTool runs frequent promotions, and the price you see on a given day is rarely the best available. As an official partner, we can offer a better price than buying directly through the xTool website. Before you order anything — an F2, an F2 Ultra Dual, a P3 or an O1 Omni — send us the configuration and we will price it properly, all-in.
2. VAT and delivery into Ireland
Where your machine ships from and how the order is structured affects both VAT handling and delivery cost. Ordering blind from an international storefront is where Irish buyers most often get surprised. When we place an order on your behalf we confirm the all-in delivered price before you commit — no post-checkout extras.
3. Extraction is not optional
Budget for extraction or a filtration unit from day one, especially for CO₂ cutting. Sustained 80 W cutting produces a significant volume of fumes, and “open a window” is not a plan for a working business. This is the accessory first-time buyers most often leave out of the budget.
4. Accessories and consumables
The accessories that matter depend on your product: a rotary for bottles and glasses, the conveyor for long stock on the F2 Ultra Dual, honeycomb and risers for CO₂ work. Consumables differ by machine family — UV inks for the O1 Omni, lenses and mirrors over time for CO₂. We advise on what to buy with the machine and what to skip until your order book justifies it.
5. Materials for testing
Every new material needs test runs before a production job, and coated, plated or unfamiliar substrates need them without exception. Allow a modest materials budget in month one — or use our materials testing service and start from documented settings instead of guesswork.
6. Training and support — the cost of not having it
The most expensive option is a machine sitting idle while its owner works through forums. Commissioning, installation and operator training are available through the Pro Hub — at our studio or at your premises — and paid after-sales troubleshooting means an Irish phone call rather than a ticket queue when something misbehaves.
The honest bottom line
A realistic first-year budget is the machine, extraction, one or two workflow-critical accessories, test materials and some training time. Bought well, an xTool pays that back quickly — we see it in our own order book. Bought blind, the same machine can sit in a corner.
