Frequently asked questions

What materials can you mark?
Fibre and UV laser systems can mark most metals (stainless steel, aluminium, brass, titanium, coated metals) and many engineering plastics. CO₂ is used for some non-metallic substrates. We always test client-supplied material before committing to a production run.
Can you mark to specific industry standards?
We can produce deep, permanent, legible marks suitable for traceability and compliance. For medical, aerospace or other regulated industries, we work to your stated spec and supply sample plaques for your approval process. We do not provide certification ourselves.
What is the minimum order?
There is no hard minimum. We can quote one-off prototype plates, short runs of 10–50 units, or scheduled call-off batches for production lines.
Do you provide the plates or do we supply them?
Either. We can source anodised aluminium, Traffolyte, stainless steel or brass blanks, or mark components you supply. Material choice depends on the environment the mark needs to survive.
How do I send data for serial numbers or barcodes?
Send a spreadsheet, CSV, or structured data file alongside the artwork. We can generate sequential numbering, variable barcodes, QR codes or data matrix marks from the file you provide.

Have a marking brief?

Send the material, quantity, mark type and any data file. We will test, proof and quote before any production run starts.
