Honest limits

  • Galvo field is fixed — parts larger than the field need rotary, the conveyor, or step-and-repeat.
  • The diode side cuts wood and dark acrylics, but it is not a substitute for a CO₂ on clear acrylic, thicker sheet stock, or large panels — pair with a P2S/P3 if cutting is core to your work.
  • Colour marking on titanium is repeatable but still demands time on test panels before a production run.

Frequently asked

Will the F2 Ultra Dual cut wood or acrylic?
Yes — within limits. The 40 W diode side will cut wood and most dark or opaque acrylics inside the galvo field, which covers small signage parts, inlays and prototypes. It is not a replacement for a CO₂ on clear acrylic, thicker sheet or large panels — for that, pair it with a P2S or P3.
Can it handle long or continuous stock?
Yes. The optional Auto Streamline conveyor feeds material continuously through the galvo field, so long signage strips, batch metal blanks and repeating panels can run without re-fixturing each part.
Can it do colour marking out of the box?
Yes, but expect to spend real time dialling in pulse, frequency and pass settings per material. The MOPA source is what makes consistent colour possible; the test-panel work is on the operator.
Do you use one in production?
